Having a more than 40 years of the experience in the field Finance and Had a distinguished career with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for over 36 years. As Managing Director was responsible for most major Departments including Investments, Personnel & HR, Corporate Communications, CRM, International Operations etc Subsequently led the National Insurance Academy, Pune (www.niapune.org.in), the apex institution for education, research, and training in Insurance, Pension, and allied areas.
Have rich experience in Board Governance having been on the boards of several leading listed public companies besides having been on the Board of LIC, its subsidiaries, and associate companies in India and abroad and was a Member of the Insurance Advisory Committee of IRDAI, Member of the Editorial Board of the IRDAI Journal, the Board of Education of Insurance Institute of India(III) and Member, Governing Board of National Insurance Academy.
